Dollar Rate History in Pakistan Since 1947

When Pakistan came into existence, rate of the dollar was 3.31 rupees and it has increased with time and now the dollar is equal to 240 rupees. The dollar mainly began to rise after the early 2000s and Mager reasons for this were the war on terror and corrupt politicians.

Why Dollar Rate Increase in Pakistan?

Widening trade deficit and pressure on funds borrowed from the World Bank and IMF are some of the main reasons why the US dollar is strengthening day by day against the Pakistani rupee. If the demand for the dollar increases then its value also increases on the contrary if the demand decreases, then the value also decreases۔

Now it is important to know when the demand for dollars has increased! Demand for dollars increases when international parties such as foreign nationals, foreign central banks or foreign financial institutions demand more dollars.
